That's for You, by the Way. I Made It in Art Therapy

House hunting kind of sucks! We were blinded by the first, beautiful one we found and now they all pale in comparison. And are farther from the Metro.

In ceramics we had to make six bowls to sell for charity. Two of mine were ugly, three of them were kind of nice but not functional, and the nicest one I guess went to a person who loves squids.

And here are two cute cats.

P.S. TOMORROW IS SPRING!!!

Reading Week!!!

Is over. Back in Montreal. I just got assigned a project in drawing that will go until the end of the semester. This makes me uncomfortable but so excited for spring.

This week I went clubbing (lol), glazed bowls until my eyes glazed over, missed Newmarket and was pretty happy with the weather. Also I am now almost entirely content with Kate Winslet as Best Actress 2009, half because I watched The Reader and half because I read this quote from her:
I embarrassingly went up to [Meryl Streep] at the Golden Globes last year, having never met her. I was completely sober at the time, I hasten to add. And I said, 'I love you so much I want to tongue-kiss you'. And she said, 'Okay'.
And on that note, goodnight! Time for 30 Rock.

HOME (4x02)

Only with less Mulder, Scully and gross inbreds. I love my cat.

Tomorrow my Grandpa turns 91. HBD to a man that doesn't know what the internet is.

We're doing an ongoing diptych project in drawing. I am lazy but my teacher loves it. "So simple - it's like poetry."

Mad Men is good. Paris Hilton's British Best Friend is better. I got new shoes and plaid flannel pillows (thanks Urban Outfitters clearance, $4.99 each? I like it when you don't suck).

Also, GOOD LUCK MERYL!

Babette? Miss Patty?

I've been listening to a lot of Belle & Sebastian lately (as in, today), and watching Gilmore Girls. Should I re-enroll in grade 10 or something? (I wish). I have gotten weirdly attached to the box that my Sorels came in, and I have been using it as a laptop podium, a little nook in which to place the kettle and mug when I make tea, a stand for my fan for better air circulation... I want to make nice paper to cover it (and then 'laminate' the inside for fashion and function). I am loving this idea from Martha, but I don't have a wood grain tool! Fuck my life, truly.

I unearthed this while cleaning my room. The black and white version is much less shoddy, but it is tucked safely away at 361 Crowder. Also pictured here: new rug.

In conclusion, printmaking: as awful as you remember, but with less compass scritch-scratch. Also, apparently I am obsessed with nature.
